1. 货币兑换 /Currency Exchange Service

在重庆的中国银行网点可提供外币兑换服务，可以很方便地进行常用外币（美元、欧元、日元、英镑等）现金兑换人民币的服务。兑换货币时需携带本人护照。外国留学生不要在非正规的机构和个人处兑换货币，未经政府批准的货币兑换往往有很大的风险，比如：诈骗、抢劫、假钞等。

We suggest you change some money into RMB cash on your arrival at the airport. Only for the daily cost for the first days, several hundreds of RMB is reasonable. Carrying a large number of cash is also a hidden risk to your safety. The outlets of Bank of China in Chongqing provide foreign currency exchange service. You can change your money into RMB conveniently. It is strongly suggested that students not go to the place unauthorized to change money. You will risk the possibility of forged notes at these places not eligible to exchange.

 

2.    银行卡 /Bank Card

在中国的ATM 机上，很多国际信用卡组织发行的卡片都可以使用，最常见的是VISA 和MasterCard，其他类型的卡片（American Express，Diners，Discovery，JCB 等）相对比较少见。但是，国外银行卡都不能在绝大多数的银行网点的柜台取现。如果需要提取大量现金，必须到渝中区中国银行重庆分行。目前重庆大多数的商店、超市和其他的消费场所可以使用银行卡付款

Cards issued by many international finance systems can be used on ATMs in China. The most widely acceptable ones are VISA and MasterCard. Some others, such as American Express, Diners, Discovery, JCB are also acceptable, but only on a much smaller number of ATMs. Therefore, we suggest you take a card issued by VISA to China. However, the cards issued by foreign banks cannot be used to get cash from the counter of Chinese banks. If you need a large amount of cash, you have to go to the head office of Bank of China in Chongqing, in Yuzhong region of the downtown. This case is unlikely possible to happen, as most stores, supermarkets and other places of consumption accept cards.

餐饮/Dining Service

1.学生餐厅及营业时间/Dining Halls around the Campus

学校有4个食堂，其中1个为清真食堂。

食堂的营业时间为：7：00-9：00，11：00-12：30，17：00-18：30

The university has 4 canteens, one of which serves Halal Food.

Opening Time: 7：00-9：00，11：00-12：30，17：00-18：30

 

2.校园周边饮食服务/Restaurants off Campus

学校老校门对面有众多的中式餐馆及快餐厅。

Around the old gate of the university, there are many small restaurants which serves Chinese Cuisines, fast food, noodles, Sushi, etc.

 

注/Note：

学校附近有新世纪超市、永辉超市，南坪附近有麦德龙超市，留学生们可以根据自己的需要到超市购买食材。

For those who cook their own food, there are 2 big Supermarkets(namely New Century Supermarket and Yonghui Supermarket) near the university, and a Metro near Nanping

 

体育健身/ Sport Facilities

校内体育设施齐全，有体育馆、体育场、健身房、游泳池、网球场、排球场、篮球场、足球场等，供留学生选择使用。

There are gyms, stadiums, swimming pools, tennis courts, volleyball courts,basket-ball courts, and football fields on campus which are available to foreign students.

 

心理咨询/ Psychological Counseling

学校设有专门的心理咨询中心办公室设。外国留学生如有需要可自行前往或者寻求联络老师的帮助。该中心的电话为：62471300。

The Student Counseling Center of CUPT provides counseling services to train the students' psychological quality, improve their ability to adapt to the society, explore their potential, promote their personal growth, reduce their psychological conflicts and pressure, and to prevent and deal with psychological crisis. If necessary, international students can go to the center by himself/herself, or ask help from the camp coordinators of CUPT.

公共交通：

校车：校车站在老校门右转，旁边有一张大的学校地图。车费一元，可以用学生卡。

公交：到学校的有346、347两路公交车。346的起始点是重庆邮电大学—较场口，时间：6:20a.m.—8:30p.m.。347的起始点是老厂—菜园坝火车站，时间：6:20a.m.—8:00p.m.。出于安全考虑，请大家不要搭乘“黑车”。

轻轨：轻轨是重庆的一项特色交通工具。重庆市目前已开通一号线、二号线、三号线和六号线。

      一号线：小什字—大学城    

      二号线：较场口—新山村   

      三号线：鱼洞—江北机场   

      六号线：茶园—北碚

 

Public Transportation

School bus: The school bus stop is located near the old school gate. The fee is one yuan .Student card is also acceptable.

Bus: You can take 346 or 347 to go to Nanping or Jiefangbei.

346 starts from CQUPT, terminates at Jiaochangkou. Time: 6:20a.m.—8:30p.m.

347 starts from Laochang, terminates at Caiyuanba Railway Station.

For security reasons, please do not take the unlicensed Taxi.

Rail Transit: Now, Chongqing has opened Line NO.1, NO.2, NO.3, and NO.6.

Line NO.1:Xiaoshizi—Daxuecheng

Line NO.2:Jiaochangkou—Xinshancun

Line NO.3:Yudong—Jiangbei Airport
